LIGHTS & LANTERNS FESTIVAL
Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.
At the time of going to print, a new wave of COVID-19 swept across the Garden Route. As a safety precaution, it was therefore decided to postpone this year’s Lights & Lanterns festival for the well-being of spectators and organisers. The festival celebrates kindness, compassion and gratitude and presents a perfect opportunity to create beautiful memories with family and loved ones. It also serves as a fitting reminder that all of us can spread light through actions of compassion and generosity. Despite the fact that the festival will not go ahead this year, all of these principles still apply, now perhaps more than ever before. One small deed of kindness can make a difference.
