INTERNSHIP TEAM, BARISTA TRAINING & SOUPERHERO’S
Wonderful SA is very proud to introduce our new internship team for the next 12 months. They reported for duty on the 1st of August! This will be the team with which we will Make Transformation Possible during the next year. We are excited about the talents, strengths and energy this new team brings to our community and the many areas we strive to make a difference in. Keep a look out for these new faces when you visit us.
We are delighted, with an eye toward the approaching holiday season, to have partnered with the Mossel Bay Municipality. We will offer barista training as a regular 2 day certified training course over the coming months. Some of the previous participants have already found job placements. Barista training is such a valuable skill in our area, and we believe this training can open many doors for the youth in our communities.
Lastly we would like to celebrate a new initiative by some of the youth from Grootbrak. These young people decided they want to celebrate community and generosity every month. This will be done by requesting members of the community to make and donate soup, pancakes, vetkoek or any other delectable food items, which will then be distributed at a different spots in our area every month. It is such a great way to get involved and bless someone!
