NEWS FROM WONDERFUL SA FOUNDATION/GREAT BRAK YOUTH CAFÉ

Over the last few months the Wonderful SA Foundation and Youth Café had the incredible opportunity to partner with Mossel Bay Municipality to do some rural outreaches to some of our communities with limited access to various services and opportunities.

Brandwag and Herbertsdale were some of the outlying areas we could visit to facilitate Basic Computer Training, Soft Skills and CV Writing. We were also invited to facilitate the same at Mossel Bay and in our very own Groot-Brak (with people from Friemersheim). This was fantastically well received by the communities, and we could see the hunger from their side to learn and gain more exposure.

We also launched our “Give Responsibly, Get Rewarded Handsomely”campaign, where we ask members of our community to partner with us in the work we do. We know budgets are tight, so we got some incredible sponsors on board that reward our members for their contributions every month! Already this campaign has helped us prepare for our “Tokens vir ’n Toekoms”project, to be launched in March 2023. Through this project we aim to combat child malnourishment and facilitate a way for our community to responsibly engage with and help beggars on our streets. Keep an eye out for this amazing project!

As always, we invite each and every reader to visit us in Greenhaven to see the projects we are busy with or find out how you can get involved.
